Verified organization identity

The IRS Exempt Organizations Business Master File and the exact ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer record identify VEYO CEMETERY, EIN 93-3983898, at 177 E Center St, Veyo, Utah 84782-4040. The classification is a cemetery company under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(13), with NTEE code Y50. The June 2024 IRS ruling date is not presented as the date the physical cemetery was established.

Documented place context

Washington County’s adopted Veyo General Plan describes a cemetery toward the easterly end of Veyo, maintained in connection with an adjacent park site. Utah State University Extension’s repeat-photography page describes landscape change around the cemetery using a 1936 source image and a later retake. Utah State Archives explains how cemetery records may include lot ownership or interment registers and why researchers should corroborate them.

Project-supplied identifier

D-U-N-S® 062633671 was supplied with the organization information for this project. The public source set used for the app separately supports the entity name, EIN, registered address, federal classification, and documented place context.

Current operating details

The app does not publish an operator website, telephone or email, visitor hours, entrance, directions, accessibility facilities, pricing, lot availability, burial scheduling, funeral service, decorations policy, volunteer program, donation instructions, or burial list. Before relying on any such detail, obtain a current notice from the responsible local operator. The IRS registered address is presented only as entity correspondence information, not as visitor navigation.

Corrections standard

A correction should identify the statement, provide a primary or authoritative source, explain the requested change, and avoid including private family material. A plausible claim is not upgraded to a verified fact merely because several unsourced pages repeat it. Contact details appear on the support page.
